Ingredients
- 100 gm flour
- 40 gm butter
- 40 gm almonds ( roughly chopped )
- 100 gm milk maid
- 50 gm milk solid ( khoya / mawa ) ( sugarless )
- 60 ml water + 60 ml water
- 130 gms dates ( seedless )
- 2 tbsp chocolate chips
- ½ tsp baking powder
- Pinch of soda
- ½ tsp vanilla essence
Instructions ( 1 cup = 250 ml, 1 tbsp = 15 ml, 1 tsp = 5 ml)
- Chop the dates.
- Cook dates with 60 ml water for 2-3 min.
- Weigh all ingredients and keep it aside.
- Strain maida, baking powder and soda.
- Coat almonds and chocolate chips with pinch of flour.
- Grease 500 gm cake tin (15 cm diameter ).
- Pre-heat oven for 10 min.
- Combine milk maid, butter and essence in one deep bowl.
- Beat well for 1 min.
- Add milk solid. Beat for 30-40 sec.
- Add maida mixture. Mix well.
- Add cooked dates and water.
- Beat for 2 min.
- Add nuts and chocolate chips.
- Mix well.
- Pour batter into greased tin.
- Tap well to remove bubbles.
- Transfer it into pre-heated oven.
- Bake it for 25-30 min or till cake get done.
