Ingredients
  • 1 ½ cup finely chopped fenugreek (methi) leaves
  • 3 cup bajra (black millet) flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp ajwain
  • ¼ cup fresh curd (dahi)
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 3-4 -green chili ( fine chopped / crushed with ginger )
  • 1 tbsp garlic (lehsun) paste / ¼ cup green garlic ( crushed ) + 1 tsp garlic paste
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • Salt to taste ( 2 tsp )
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh cream
  • ½ to ¾ cup butter milk to need a dough
  • Oil for cooking
  • Whole wheat flour rolling
Instructions ( 1 cup = 250 ml, 1 tbsp = 15 ml, 1 tsp = 5 ml)
  1. Combine all the ingredients along with 1 tbsp oil in a deep bowl to make a soft dough, using enough butter milk.
  2. Divide the dough into 16-18 equal portions.
  3. Roll out each portion of the dough. ( 6-8 cm ) diameter circle using a little whole wheat flour for rolling.
  4. Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and cook each dhebra, using a little oil, till it turns golden brown in color from both the sides.
  5. Serve hot with curds and pickle of your choice.
