Want to have something different in breakfast ! Then try onion coriander paratha. This is not the usual onion stuffed paratha recipe but a lot easier and different recipe that makes equally tasty and delicious parathas. Here I have mixed the fresh flavour of coriander leaves with onions, with heat from fresh green chillies. Onion coriander parathas can be had for breakfast or a quick brunch or lunch. Accompanied with a side vegetable dish or raita these parathas make for a complete meal.

Ingredients
- 3 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 cup onion ( finely chopped )
- ½ coriander ( fine chopped )
- 1-2 green chili ( fine chopped )
- 1 tbsp black pepper corn ( freshly crushed )
- 1 tbsp cumin seeds ( roasted and crushed )
- Salt according to taste ( approx. 2 tsp )
- 2 tbsp oil
- ¾ cup water
- Oil for roasting
- Whole wheat flour for rolling
Instructions ( 1 cup = 250 ml, 1 tbsp = 15 ml, 1 tsp = 5 ml)
- Crush the pepper corn and roasted cumin seed in mortar and pestle.
- Combine the flour, all ingredients and in a deep bowl and knead into soft dough using enough water.
- Divide the dough into 14-16 equal portions and roll out each portion into a circle of 15 cm diameter, using the flour for rolling.
- Heat a tava and cook each onion coriander paratha, using little oil, till golden brown spots appear on both the sides.
- Serve hot onion coriander paratha with onion rings, curd or pickle of your choice.
